What is a Conservative Republican and Why choose to be One?

Author: Debra K. Caso

Choices are American. Individualism is American. Independence is American. Freedom is a Natural Right granted from God as written in our Constitution and defended by law in our Republican form of government.

Since the time of Reagan, and earlier, the party has changed dramatically. From a Conservative Republican platform, one that inspires personal responsibility has developed into what is now a Socialist Democracy. As Conservatives, we want to think, work and achieve in pursuit of property and happiness to whatever extent we can.

Republican leaders like Lindsey Graham, John McCain , choices backed by the party, believe the party should be more inclusive and have sold their oath to the highest bidders and stolen the voice of the people. These are not representatives of the people, they are self serving, arrogant and bought and paid for career politicians who have forgotten the only treasure they were sent to protect is the God given freedom of the people from a Federal government that has been tyrannical for more years than they have been in Congress.

Conservative Republicans are taking our Party back! We are inclusive and diversified because the we Conservative Republicans…

1. Believe in the Constitution as our Forefathers created it

2. Believe that all our rights are granted from God.

3. Believe, like our Forefathers, that our country is a Republic, not a democracy.

4. Believe in small government with limited powers granted to the Federal Government

5. Believe all power is ingrained in WE THE PEOPLE with representation through Congressional Representatives and State House Representatives

6. Believe in tax limitations, with special provisions for times of war.

7. Believe in personal and fiscal responsibility.

Can we agree on these principles? These are principles written in our Constitution which are everlasting and, to date, stand as steadfast as the 10 Commandments written by the hand of God!

For those who read this and believe our Constitution is outdated, I ask you if you think the 10 Commandments are outdated as well. Some people actually believe either one is outdated, immaterial, and impractical today. Why? The reason is clear to me; it is because the moral compass of our country has pointed south for too long. Just look at the morality of our political leaders. People are who they are because of what is in their hearts. The heart is where our beliefs reside. It is where conviction resides. When people’s minds overtake the conviction of their hearts, their moral compass goes south. My friend, take your heart back to the beginning of our country, to the Founding Fathers, to their heart convictions.

Unless we look from where we have come, we have lost forever the most exceptional country and people the world has ever seen. Our United States Constitution is the oldest active constitution any country has in the world today. It has stood the test of time and the course of scrutiny through these 234 years. And it stands to reason that it can and will for the next two hundred years. Will you sift every legislation and every proposal through it’s filter? God help us if we do not. God bless us if we do.
