Righting the R.I.G.H.T. (Part 2)

Author: Patriots’ Ink Chaplain Rev. Glenn Pav

The phrase I’ve coined, “Righting the Right,” includes replacing the Leftist agenda and moving our country and its politics from a left of center RINO Republican base to a right of center Founding Fathers base. A clear path to “Righting the Right” can be remembered by the acrostic R.I.G.H.T. We need to move to the RIGHT. In other words the Right needs to include:

R: Reformation

The Protestant Reformation of the 16th century began as a movement of individuals, both laymen and clergy, whose faith and witness inspired thousands to restore sound, biblical Christianity to the people of all nations, based upon the truth of the Gospel according to God's Holy Word. Today, the gift of this godly heritage is being challenged by many factors and may not survive intact beyond this generation. Today, we need a spiritual revival of the soul and a political reformation of the mind.

I: Integrity

Political corruption, moral decay, patriotic disloyalty, and open dishonesty run rampant in our country today. The Leftists from the Presidency to the media unabashedly use harsh criticism based on lies to demean the character of the constitutional conservatives. Character assassination is the norm of the day. Overt acts of bribery and theft are left unpunished. Our President’s sarcasm is disingenuous and unprecedented. This is intolerable. Integrity must rule the day or trust in God and country is not possible.

G: Godliness

Godliness is not only a work of faith but also a state of mind. Prayer is absent from our schools. “In God We Trust” is being taken off of our coins. The Ten Commandments are being removed from our hallowed halls of justice. The American Flag is no longer on our President’s lapel and is missing as a backdrop behind his speaker’s podium. Offensiveness and political correctness are empty reasons for these removals. God will not push His way into our lives. He said, “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land (2 Chronicles 7:14). Let’s humble ourselves, pray, seek Him, and turn toward reformation from wickedness.

H: Honor

Patriotism is expressing gratitude for the country. Honoring our country starts with others who have provided a free country for us. Through blood, sweat, and tears, we have what we have. Our freedom is unprecedented; our opportunities are unprecedented. We can serve, honor, and work according to our abilities. Our availability to choose how and where we live and the manner in which we will conduct our lives is unprecedented. Can we honor our country and patriots by appreciating them, protecting them, and preserving them so that our children may experience freedom as we have? It is everyone’s patriotic duty to honor. I stand in awe that I was born in this country. Most of us will not have to do what our forefathers did to bring it to us. Yet we must not only take an honorable stand, but also make a respectful charge to regain America.

T: Truth

Truth can set you free. The truth is that the Founders recognized God as the Source of Liberty and Law. The truth is Christian zeal fueled the American Revolution. My disciplined passion is running the race now. The truth is our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. I urge you to regain your faith and live by your moral upbringing. The truth is our Republic rests upon one book, The Bible. The truth is every State Constitution acknowledges God. America’s schools were formed to advance the Christian Faith. And foreign nations acknowledge our Christian roots and heritage. The truth is in the past our Presidents, Congress, and Our Capital have all acknowledged God and the Courts have declared that we are a Christian Nation. So, let’s live in light of this truth. The result is freedom.

Conclusion:

Patriots’ Ink Executive Director, Steve Lange, reminds us members often that the race to “Righting the Right” is not a sprint, but rather a marathon. We must reform our current politics and morals by taking one step at a time, from planting grass seeds to fertilizing grass roots. Patriots’ Ink calls it “Boots on the Ground.” We did not lose the R.I.G.H.T. overnight. We will not regain it through one victorious election either. But it starts now, R.I.G.H.T. now. Are you the R.I.G.H.T. person to fill the R.I.G.H.T. gap for such a R.I.G.H.T. time as this? I dare say you are! Get involved. Join Patriots’ Ink as we weekly plan, prepare, and crusade on the battle field to reform our country. Campaign for liberty; come to our meetings for inspiration and instruction. Go out with a focus with the R.I.G.H.T. objectives. My friend, we can do this if we serve together in “Righting the R.I.G.H.T.” God bless the U.S.A.
